This is what the world supposes:
"Whatever two consenting adults do in private is their business."
This idea is not from our Church.
There is no such thing as what two people do "in private" –– God is always there. And, St. Paul says that what men do in secret is unspeakable.
Much could be said about Orthodox sex, the canons do get specific prescribing penances for the various perversions and abuses. Often it surprises modern man (even Orthodox) to find out what the Church considers perversion.
The bottom line is there is only one right way for Orthodox Christians:
Vaginal sex in the mission position between a man and woman married (to each other) on permitted days.
Permitted days are harder to define. These are the days left over after eliminating the days of abstaining. Orthodox couples abstain:
• during fasts
• the day before receiving Holy Communion
• during the mentrual cycle,
• during pregancy,
• after childbirth before the 40-day churching
• (there might also be a period during lactation)
• other times by mutual consent
Certain practices totally accepted by the world that are inappropriate for Orthodox:
pornography, Viagra, sex toys, mutual masturbation, open-mouth kissing, fantasizing,
The world can not know the intense pleasure (ecstacy) of Orthodox sex. Sanctified marriage of husband & wife who love each other on the deepest possible level between humans, who have properly prepared their bed with fasting and prayer, who are eager (at least willing) to take responsibility for the child that could be conceived. Because the world lacks these things, they have to use props even to exact what little pleasure they can manage. Animals do better.
Birth control: All forms of birth control are forbidden. By the odds, a healthy pious Orthodox couple following the days of abstaining, will naturally conceive every 2 years.
