WARNING

NOT EVERYTHING THAT

CALLS ITSELF ORTHODOX IS

TRULY ORTHODOX

The above warning was given to me when I first met Orthodoxy in 1986. Today [2009] it is even more perilous, even more difficult to find the Royal Path. For one thing there is a far greater abundance of misinformation. And many materials are missing, and other materials are being rapidly rewritten. For another thing there are fewer than ever guides remaining on the Royal Path, especially who speak English. Hopefully this website will be a place where Newcomers to the Faith can keep at least one foot on solid ground, while they are "exploring."

Lesson in Psychopathy: the "Forgiveness Ploy"

This post is therapeutic for me.   Maybe some readers will not appreciate it — If that is the case with you, then I'm happy for you, because that means you have never been the victim of a psychopath.  And I thank you for indulging me.
.

In the 3rd cartoon: the (psychopath) cat who says he does not get it is lying.  He gets it exactly.  The other cat sympathizes with the psychopath cat.  Sam Vankin has labelled these sympathizers as "flying monkeys."  Flying monkeys are all the people around the psychopath who buy into the psychopath's false persona, the false image they project.  Flying monkeys are "actors" on the psychopath's "stage."  If a flying monkey discovers the truth, but is forced by circumstances to remain on stage and be an actor, then that flying monkey ceases to be a flying monkey and becomes a victim.  The only way out is to exit the stage.  That is not always possible, especially for parents who have minor children involved.    ~jh

  1. p.s. I love cats. I think they are adorable even when they are being predators. But cute as it is, I will rescue the mouse if I can. I tell the cat, "Sorry baby cat precious mommy is not going to let you have the poor little mouse."
The last photo at the bottom of this post, with the cat totally, intensely focused on his prey (blurried mouse)... this (to me) symbolizes how the psychopath sees his victims — not as living beings...
The cat-mouse analogy to psychopath-victim is not perfect, but it is really close in many ways.
